It is the mission of the Arc of Oconee County and Our Place to improve public understanding of the intellectually and developmentally disabled. We strive to provide I/DD citizens with opportunities that enhance and strengthen independence.
Our Place: One of the programs under the umbrella of the Arc Of Oconee County is dedicated to serving adults with Intellectual and Developmental disabilities. Our participants enjoy various activities 2 days a week. Some of the activities include: bowling, arts and crafts, small group games, nutrition study, exercise and healthy living, community events, service projects, independent living skills, line dance lessons, Monthly birthday celebrations, visits from the bookmobile, and Good News Club. We strive to provide our clients with opportunities and skills that enhance and strengthen independence.
